Terms of Service

1. Who may use SamClerg

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You must provide accurate information, use only your own identity and complete any identity or profile checks we reasonably require. SamClerg is not available to anyone whose account has been suspended or terminated for safety or policy reasons.

2. The service

SamClerg provides curated introductions, compatibility guidance and protected communication intended to support meaningful relationships. Compatibility scores and Sam’s guidance are decision-support tools, not guarantees of a match, relationship outcome or another member’s conduct. You remain responsible for your decisions online and in person.

3. Your account and verification

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. We may pause discovery, require additional evidence or restrict features while identity, age, profile-integrity or safety checks are completed. Do not create duplicate or misleading accounts or attempt to bypass a restriction.

4. Conduct and content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Wapmass Limited the limited permission needed to host, process, moderate and display it to provide and protect SamClerg. You must follow our Community Guidelines and Safety Standards. Harassment, fraud, impersonation, exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, child sexual abuse or exploitation, threats and illegal activity are prohibited.

5. Reports, blocking and moderation

Members can block another member and report concerns in conversation safety controls. We may review relevant account, profile and conversation records, remove content, limit discovery, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence and contact competent authorities where reasonably necessary to protect people or comply with law.

6. Membership, subscriptions and payment

Acquaintance is free. A verified member needs active membership only when independently requesting or accepting Friendship. Membership does not guarantee an introduction, attention, compatibility, progression or a relationship outcome, and it never replaces mutual consent, identity checks or safety review.

On iOS, SamClerg offers monthly, three-month and annual auto-renewable memberships through Apple In-App Purchase. Before purchase, SamClerg displays the plan name, billing period and Apple-localised price. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the selected period unless you cancel through your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can restore an eligible Apple purchase from Membership & Plans and open Apple subscription management there at any time.

Cancelling normally stops the next renewal rather than ending access immediately; access continues until the end of the paid period unless Apple states otherwise. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests under its applicable terms. Any mandatory consumer rights, including rights available under UK law, remain unaffected. Complimentary access is not a purchase and is not charged.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep SamClerg available and secure, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. We may change features, limits or these terms to improve the service, meet legal requirements or address safety risks. Material changes will be communicated through the service or the contact details associated with your account.

8. Ending your account

You may request deletion from Profile → Privacy or through our public deletion page. We may retain limited records where required for legal, fraud-prevention, payment, safeguarding or dispute purposes. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches.

9. Liability and law

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. To the extent permitted by law, SamClerg is provided without a guarantee of relationship success and Wapmass Limited is not responsible for another member’s independent acts. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
